Copperhead Country pulls ahead in Week 2
Copperhead Country jumped into the lead with their 26.5 point performance led by Henry Huber’s 8 points and Terry Heffernan’s 7.5 points.
They have a three-point lead over Lorengo & Son’s, who scored 25.5 points on the night.
Cedar Park/ Carmel’s vaulted into third place with 28 points, the high point total of the night. They were led by Bill Edwards’ 8 points, low net winner Ed Strommen’s 7 points, and deuce pot winner Kermit Ulstad’s 7 points.
Strommen who is approaching his 80th birthday had a gross score of 39 with 5 pars and 4 bogeys, and a net score of 28. Andy Stetzner and Anthony Wood shared low gross honors with even par 35’s. Stetzner had 2 birdies, including a deuce, and 2 bogeys, while Wood had one bogey and one birdie, which was on hole # 7, the closest to the pin hole.
Brian Robbins and Pete Reisenauer also had deuces on the carryover deuce pot.
