FLORENCE – To put it succinctly, Jake Schneiter put on a show.

The future Montana Tech Oredigger amassed 450 total yards and six touchdowns to lead the Falcons over Anaconda 46-0 Friday night. The win essentially won the Western B for Florence (4-0, 6-1) with their lone loss of the season being against Three Forks in the opener.

Schneiter may not have exactly put his name on the map, but the nearly identical passing versus rushing numbers should have every coach heading into the playoffs spinning their heads. He was 14-of-24 for 227 yards and two TD passes coupled with 13 carries and 223 yards and four TD runs.

Anaconda’s offense showed an ability to gain yards in bunches at times, but failed to get into the endzone against the bend but don’t break defensive effort. The Copperheads found the red zone three times and were inside the 3 yards line twice – missing a 25 yard field goal, turning the ball over on downs and with an interception that turned into an injury to starting QB Ryder Anderson while attempting the tackle.

Although he was lost late in the game following his lone interception trying to get Anaconda on the board to stop the running clock trailing 40-0, Ryder Anderson managed 219 yards through the air on 14-of-32 attempts. His main target who continues to be a matchup nightmare for teams was 6-4, 200-pound sophomore tight end Bohdi Keeland, who hauled in five catches for 112 yards.

Junior wideout Carson Lacey caught five passes for 48 yards, Rory Cromwell had three catches for 45 yards including an amazing 25-yard reception where he left his feet across midfield and somehow survived not only the ground but great coverage in the secondary. Owen Pesanti had two receptions for 16 yards as well.

The running game was improved, especially when you put it up against one of the best teams in Class B. Soren Keeland returned to the backfield to rush 15 times for 43 yards.

Anaconda wraps up its regular season hosting Deer Lodge Friday night at Mitchell Stadium for Senior Night. The Copperheads, with a win, secure their second-straight trip to the playoffs – although several scenarios exist for a No. 2-seed and hosting a first round game.

Essentially, all scenarios with an Anaconda win, if Eureka beats Thompson Falls by less than nine points, Anaconda will earn the No. 2 seed and Thompson Falls with the No. 3. If Eureka wins by more than nine points, they get the No. 3 seed. If Thompson Falls beats Eureka, Anaconda will get the No. 3 seed.
