Both of these individuals helped lead their respective teams to championship wins over the weekend, earning them Athlete of the Week honors presented by Dee Motors, Community Hospital of Anaconda, Skyline Sports, Crawshaw Family McDonalds, Washoe Theatre, Zo Photo and Copperhead Country.
Sophomore Gage Novak won an individual title for the Copperheads competing int he PHS Seamus Camp Invitational in Livingston on Friday, recording a time of 18:33. Novak also led his squad to the team title as well.
On Saturday, Logan McKay, a senior outside hitter for the Copperheads, led her team in kills en route to the championship win in the Tip Off Tournament held in Mission.
Anaconda went 2-1 in Pool Play with wins over Troy and Thompson Falls and a close loss to Loyola. Anaconda avenged the loss to Loyola in the bracket play semifinals and finished the day off beating Plains in the title match.
All season long, each winner of the AOTW will receive movie tickets to Washoe Theatre, a $10 gift card to McDonalds and at the end of each season will be entered for a chance to win a $250 Athletes Pass from Shine PT+Wellness.
