Loyola girls escape Snake Pit with 59-51 win

Three Copperheads scoring double figures wasn’t enough to topple the visiting Heart Breakers, falling 59-51 in a 6B tilt Saturday at Memorial Gymnasium. 
Sophomore Logan Stetzner scored a team-high 15 while seniors Sydnie Peterson and Johannah Forsberg added 13 apiece in the loss. 
Loyola outscored Anaconda 23-16 in the final quarter after Anaconda crawled back to within one before the final stanza led by Tessa Burke’s game-high 19 and Sam Clevenger’s 14. 
The Copperheads will be back in action Thursday in a doubleheader against Whitehall at Memorial Gymnasium. Both games will be broadcast live on http://copperheadcountry.airtime.pro
