Hill, Peterson earn All State nods for Anaconda

Anaconda seniors Braxton Hill and Sydnie Peterson each earned Class B All State nods announced today from conference officials. 
Hill, a 6-foot-3 point guard, was a unanimous selection for All-State status, his third straight nomination. Hill averaged 24.9 ppg, 7.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game, and finished his career as the all time leading scorer in AHS history with 1,924 points. 
Trent Mikalatos, a 6-6 forward, earned First Team 6B honors one spot out of All State recognition. Mikalatos averaged near double-double numbers of 15.6 ppg and 8.9 boards per game. 
Bobby Swainston, a 6-2 senior guard, was named to the Second Team. 
Head coach Bill Hill was named Coach of the Year. 
The Copperhead boys finished in a tie for the 6B regular season title and took second in the Western B divisional after beating Loyola in a challenge game 70-33. They lost two straight at the Class B state tournament in Missoula. 

On the girls’ side, Peterson, a 5-8 point guard, was recognized with her first All State and First Team nod. She averaged a team high 13.9 ppg and 2.9 assists, leading Anaconda to their first divisional tournament appearance in three years. 
Logan Stetzner, a 5-7 sophomore guard, was named to the Second Team. She averaged 9.0 ppg in her second year as a Copperhead starter.
